The 2026 driving theory exam in Armenia: format and preparation
20 questions, 30 minutes and at least 18 correct answers. Here is how the theory exam is structured and how to pass it on your first attempt.
The road to a driving licence starts with the theory exam. It tests how well a candidate knows the traffic rules and whether they are ready to make decisions in real situations. Below we summarise the key exam requirements and the most effective ways to prepare.
How the exam is structured
- 20 questions drawn from the official question bank;
- 30 minutes to answer them all;
- you pass with at least 18 correct answers, so no more than two mistakes are allowed.
The questions are split by topic: 15 on traffic rules, 2 on vehicle malfunctions, 2 on legislation and 1 on first aid. That split shows where most of your preparation should go: rules, road signs and junctions.
How to prepare effectively
1. Study by topic, not at random
Work through each topic separately first; it makes the weak areas easy to spot. The site's topic tests are built for exactly that.
2. Complete every ticket
Our tickets are arranged so that every question in the official bank appears at least once. Solve them all in order and you will have covered the entire bank.
3. Practise against the clock
The time limit often adds pressure. The mock exam reproduces the real format, 20 questions in 30 minutes, so nothing feels unfamiliar on exam day.
4. Review your mistakes
After each attempt, go over the wrong answers and return to the relevant point of the traffic rules. The history in your account shows your progress and the topics that still need work.
